Precautions for Armored Thermistors during Use
During use, the appropriate model, specification, and maintenance information of the thermal resistor should be selected based on the temperature range and measurement object of the armored thermal resistor.
The high operating temperature and working pressure of a thermal resistor should not exceed its rated value. If the thermal resistor needs to be used in corrosive media, a maintenance tube made of stainless steel should be used.
The length of the sensitive element of most thermal resistors is about 120mm. When selecting the insertion depth of the thermal resistor, it should be considered that the thermal resistor can only measure the uniformity of the measured medium within the vicinity of the sensitive element.
When wiring armored thermal resistors, first open the junction box and then connect the wires. There are two common methods for wiring: two-wire and three wire systems. The advantage of the three wire system connection is that it can prevent the indication error of the display instrument caused by the resistance value of the connecting wire of the bimetallic thermometer.
The connecting wire between the armored thermistor and the display instrument should be insulated copper wire, and compensation wires for thermocouples should not be used. The resistance value of copper wire should be selected according to the technical specifications of the instrument, usually ranging from 2 to 50. The resistance value of the wire can be adjusted using a DC balanced bridge.
A armored thermistor cannot be used in parallel with two display instruments. Only a dual branch thermistor can be used together with two display instruments.
When not using armored thermal resistors, proper protection is necessary. The suitable storage conditions are: ambient temperature of 10-35gC; relative humidity not exceeding 80%; The surrounding air should not contain substances that may cause corrosion of thermistor components.
